nVidia 780a SLI
The choice for AMD fans that need a SLI solution is not that easy. Even notwithstanding the inability to use “HybridPower” mode at MSI K9N2 Diamond motherboard and second place for performance we, probably, would choose it for the best memory support and less energy consumption. Although users with good motherboard won’t find strong reasons for upgrade.
What disquiets the most is that as many as three out of five nForce 780a SLI motherboards we got for test trials ‘died’ before the end of testing. We can’t say with confidence how long one or another motherboard will work, therefore we recommend all interested users to wait some time until the manufacturers detect all errors. Since we don’t need SLI for most of our systems with Socket AM2+, we’d rather prefer a ‘mature’ 790FX chipset from AMD. Need nVidia 780a SLI drivers?
